What is CBET?

CBET stands for Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician and it is a certification that allows a professional to install and repair medical equipment in hospitals, clinics, and other medical institutions.

Some of the most common responsibilities of a biomedical electronics technician include maintenance, calibration, and testing of medical equipment. These professionals also review training manuals and teach other medical professionals how to properly use medical equipment such as operating tables, imaging equipment, patient monitors and other medical devices.

In other words, certified biomedical electronics professionals are required to have a broad experience with computers, networks, software and electromagnetic devices used in the healthcare industry.
